Holy shit, Heath Ledger is dead.

He overdosed on pills and had a resulting heart attack. Suicide, perhaps? Seems like at the age of 28 with a multi-million dollar future ahead of you, suicide would be the last thing on your mind. That or it was just an overdose.

Why so serious?

Wo. This is a total shock. May he rest in peace.

Insane man. We are all sitting around and reading AP articles on it...

I've been hearing really crazy things about how extreme his Joker turned out to be. Of course I haven't seen it yet, but one can't help but wonder if the rigors of that kind of performance coupled with the turbulence of his separation from Michelle Williams pushed him over the edge. Or maybe it had been coming for a long time. Who knows.

Meh. I can't say that I care much, either way. A man who cannot be happy living the life he had is a man with whom I cannot sympathize - good performances be damned.

Yeah, this was all pretty random. From what I've heard he'd been having sleep problems for a while, hence the Ambien (which does weird stuff anyway) and his family is saying he had pneumonia.

He did have a heroin problem a while back, but had been clean for a year.

It's looking like accidental overdose. He might have just up and burned himself out.
